SSAE19 SOC2 Certification

Tab Service Company, a SOC2 Audited 1099 Service Provider

About SSAE19 SOC2 Certification

Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 19 is the latest voluntary compliance standard from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  The purpose of performing a SOC2 audit is to give assurances that service providers have effective, operating safeguards in place to protect customer data.  The standards are based on Trust Services Criteria for security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

The Service and Organization (SOC2) report presents the results of an evaluation of various aspects of a company’s security and privacy policies and methods. Tab Service requests an SOC audit be performed annually by a qualified third party to demonstrate that our safeguards and controls are strong enough to keep clients’ data secure. Having passed our audit, Tab Service has been deemed SOC2 compliant, meaning that we meet the Trust Services Criteria for managing our clients’ valuable data.

The cornerstone of any business relationship is trust

Without trust, you may be exposing your business to varying degrees of unnecessary risk. With more and more business being transacted over the Internet knowing exactly with whom you are dealing has become increasingly difficult.

As a leading 1099 tax form service provider, establishing a trusting relationship is the first thing Tab Service does with our clients. The promise that your data will be secure and protected while in our custody is backed up by an annual audit performed on our organization by an independent CPA firm.

Tab Service Company Undergoes an Annual SOC2 Audit

Our audit consists of a Service Organization Control (SOC)  evaluation, conducted by Plante Moran, the nation’s 11th largest certified public accounting firm. SOC2 reporting is an objective and detailed evaluation that determines whether our internal controls meet the requisite standards for security, processing integrity and confidentiality.

Our latest report indicates that our underlying controls regarding adherence to the relevant criteria were found to be adequate and functioning correctly. No exceptions were found, and a clean opinion was issued. Our SOC2 report is available to clients and prospective clients upon execution of a mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

While many 1099 service providers claim to be SOC2 compliant, they may only be using a SOC2 data center.  At Tab Service Company, both our organization and data center receive clean SOC2 audits every year.

Make the Right Choice by Selecting Tab Service’s TSC1099

Selecting a 1099 outsourcing service provider should not be a leap of faith.  When you are providing confidential data outside of your organization, you need to know it will be protected from unauthorized use.  Our SOC2 reporting provides you that peace of mind. Our clients trust that by operating in accordance with industry best practices, we handle their sensitive data correctly while mitigating potential security risks.
